  • OUR STORY

     

    Maldives Music & Arts Center was established with the aim of enriching the nation’s primary and secondary school children by promoting and facilitating the improvement in quality of the music and the arts, and to assist performing artists and visual artists to conceive, produce and present their work in a manner of significance and of benefit to themselves and to the community. To this end, the center has constantly worked to cater to the needs of the artistic community, as well as to foster and encourage the creative talents of school children and young adults and International Artists. MMAC’s founder Ali Abdul Kareem (Rukma) was formerly a Popular Musician and Music Instructor at Ministry of Youth & Sports from 2001 to 2005. From 2007 he administrated NCA School of the Arts, a (Government Art School) in affiliation with Trinity College of London and conducted first international music exams in Maldives. Since then, the Trinity music exams were held in Maldives constantly under his supervision. Presently he is the representative of Trinity College of London to the Maldives. MMAC was formed on 2009 and registered under Ministry of Education on 2009. On 2013 MMAC became an official center of University of Cambridge. MMAC has conducted Cultural, International, and Circus, Promotional and School events. We held Indo-Maldives friendship show on 2014 and a Bollywood dance event on 24th January 2015.

    The Maldives Music and Arts Centre (MMAC) is dedicated to creating an environment where students are passionate about learning music and arts, and where teachers are committed to nurturing each student's abilities and skills for continuous
    improvement.

    Our programs are in affiliation with the Trinity College of London, and we help you
    achieve your goals with an externally regulated and internationally recognised
    qualification. Trinity College strives to promote and foster the best possible communicative and performance skills through
    assessment, content and training that is innovative and personal.

    From theory classes to practicing instruments, from self-development to training for competitions,
    from karaoke to Madhaha – our classes have something for everyone.
