• OUR ACADEMIC MUSIC PROGRAMS

     

    MMAC offers a wide range of music study programs from beginners to advanced level. Our programs are in affiliation with the Trinity College of London, and we are the only registered examination body in Maldives certified by the
    Trinity College of London. Since 2010 we have been training Maldivian and
    Foreign students and conducting successful exams every year. We are proud to
    acknowledge that some of the well-knownartists in Maldivian music industry are former students of MMAC.

    Trinity qualifications are assessed to the same standards worldwide. Their examiners
    are subject specialists who are regularly trained and standardized; they workinternationally to ensure the consistent application of assessment criteria and procedures.

    Trinity's academic and administrative staff oversee the operations of the exam sessions
    and overtake the responsibility for the quality assurance of the assessment
    criteria, specifications and syllabuses.

    Rock & Pop

    REAL SONGS

    Play the music you love with our huge range of hit songs spanning all contemporary styles. Choose your set list from the eight songs in our new graded songbooks, play a song of your own choice, or perform one you've written yourself.

     

    REAL SKILLS

    Develop the improvisation and playback session skills that professional musicians need. Showcase your technical skills in a real-life context through our technical focus songs, and demonstrate your ability to deliver a compelling live performance.

     

    REAL PROGRESS

    Achieve your goals with an externally regulated and internationally recognised qualification. Trust the 140-year heritage Trinity brings to contemporary music, and benefit from marks and comments on your performance from Trinity's expert examiners.

    Classical Piano

    Designed to support progression from the very beginning of a pianist’s journey at Initial grade, right through to the advanced instrumental skills and musicianship of Grade 8. Candidates at all stages can now be assessed through playing more of the music they love.

    Vocal Training Classes

    There is also a Singing/Vocal Class that follows the syllabus starting from Initial to Grade 8. However, we offer our own classes outside of Trinity Syllabuses as well. Such as Madhaha, Dhivehi Songs as well as Karaoke.

    Madhaha

    With the help of qualified teachers, we recite madhaha (an Islamic Recital) How to have more vocal control. Gain confidence, improving your skills and simple warm up exercises.

    There are video shoots and uploading the content to our youtube channel. Prepares and helps to train for competitions and concerts even outside of MMAC Academy.

    Karaoke

    Karaoke is a form of entertainment widely popular in Maldives. It is all about having fun with family and friends and enjoying the beauty of music. We refine the skills and help discover the vocal talent utilising karaoke as well.

    Dhivehi Lava (Songs)

    Lava ( La, / Va ) meaning 'Songs', We teach Dhivehi with a similar treatment we do with Madhaha and Karaoke. These are the newer subjects that we recently added along with Madhaha.

    Any student from any age category can join any grade. Our academic staff will do an
    evaluation of all beginner students at the time of enrolling and direct which
    grade to follow. We conductexams every November. Exams will be conducted digitally, and marking will bedone by the Trinity College of London.

     
    Students will attend 2 classes in a week, totalling 8 classes in amonth. MMAC provides the instruments and other facilities in the classroom, but it is highly advised
    for the students to have their own instrument at home for daily practice.
